Do you guys agree with me with that Ashley is the Mario equivalent to Shadow as they're both edgy with being kinda mean and tired, both have a ideal iconic hand weapon(gun and wand), both have a backstory implied with Ashley's parents and Maria, and both separate themselves from the cast?
