Augustus of the Qing, modern age (evidently) and I have the attribute that makes it cheaper to research them. But whenever I click on any of the masteries in tier 2, it makes the "no-go" sound and doesn't select it. A bug, or am I missing something very basic?

Kinda crazy there is no direct connection between Carthage and Thenae. This went on for a couple of millennia — I only worked it out in the modern age because I couldn't build a factory in Thenae until I built a railway in Utica, thereby connecting Thenae with Carthage.

Had not encountered this bug before: playing as Augustus leading the Carthagineans, I can build Punic Ports in all my coastal settlements except Thenae, where it's just missing from the list. Instead, I can see a Mastaba (Egypt) and a Parthenon (Greece), though I can't build those either.

It still bothers me that we know so much about other CIVs without doing anything to earn it. Making the knowledge of other civs' yields cost something would immediately make the AI harder to beat, and open up high-stakes strategic decisions.

But the add to army button is greyed out, as it seems to be randomly about half the time I bring up a unit. Is there something I'm missing, or just a buggy implementation?

Why can't I build the step pyramid next to my river in Carthage, eg on those primo tiles with natural happiness yield north of my library? It says no suitable location. Please don't tell me navigale rivers don't count as rivers.

After his loss against Fils, Zverev needs to win Monte Carlo, Munich and Madrid in order to pass Sinner before Rome. Nothing less will do.

Yikes.
