In Turkey, the grave of Lieutenant Colonel Karl Karlovich, a 19th-century Russian soldier of Polish descent, was discovered in 2017 during local construction work. The coffin was located in Ardahan's Karagol neighborhood, an area captured by Russian troops in May 1877 [1710x1212]
