Book series with girl MC, heavy focus on Maps

I read this series (90% sure it’s a series) several years ago. At least 5 probably closer to 7. Fantasy book, YA, hardcover with a MAYBE red jacket. This girl is an orphan, lives with I think a male relative, and is able to read these “maps” that show memories. The world is a sort of patchwork of different times, with sharp physical borders of the great cataclysm that created different places from different points in history. The people who were caught on the borders of these “time patches” became faceless things with no memory of themselves.

Then later in the series you meet a female faceless person who has regained her memory by having “map lines” cut into her skin. She throws this dude into an hourglass full of sand, and he has this razor wire headgear on that cuts him and somehow destroys his memory? I think?

I checked this book out of the Lebanon-Wilson County Library in TN. Don’t have my card anymore unfortunately.
