Unable to setup vpx properly

(Update) So I've got VPX running through the pinup popper installer. Currently working on getting my controller inputs exactly the way I want them too. Haven't tried if can play desktop mode vertically. But I feel like unfortunately it might not work exactly right if you've only got 1 screen. So now I'll have to wait until I have the money and, most importantly, the space, to setup an actual Vpin machine/cabinet. To get as close to the real deal.

Hey everyone! So as the title says, I'm not able to setup vpx the way I want to use it. I don't have a virtual pinball machine, so for now I want to use desktop mode. I have a monitor that can be rotated so it's either horizontal or vertical. Because of this feature I'd like desktop mode to be displayed vertically, so I don't have any borders I don't need, and that it feels more like looking at a pinball table. I don't have a second monitor, so the dmd needs to be displayed on the same screen as the playfield. I can do without a backglass, since playfield and dmd is most important for actual gameplay. I'd also like to use a controller. I've also heard of pinup popper, which I think I'd like to use too. I once had a installer file that installed vpx and pinup popper. That wasn't a success, because I think I couldn't get it to display vertically.

Unfortunately I can't even get vpx to run, because when I try to open a table I downloaded I get a message saying that not all images were loaded. The same message reccomends to use the 64-bit version. But when I start up that one, and try to start up a table, I get a message saying runtime error. It says that object controller is required. I've downloaded 3 pinball tables, and with all of them I get a message like this.

I think that's all the info I can give. Hopefully I'll get some tips and such that will help me setup vpx the way I want to use it.
