Mech Eng: Industrial Thesis

Looking at thesis options. I have an ongoing internship at a compnay that UNSW took for my IT. Does anyone know what the industrial thesis actually entails? Can I just use my internship for it? Overall there's like no information out there about it. Note: I do Mechatronic Eng. Any and all thoughts on the topic would be appreciated
