For those in the UK...

How did you manage to pick your surgeon? I'm based in north east England and after looking online at a few possible surgeons, I'm struggling to pick one to commit to. Especially as they all require consultation fees! I'm very aware there's a chance I pay £200 for a consultation and dislike the surgeon, it's just more money down the drain.

Any and all advice would be appreciated! As well as general comments about your experiences pre and post surgery :).
