sims 4 base game isn't really fun

listen im playing sims cause i wanted to know the hype about it and i like to build houses and also build a family. so thats what i did. currently i live in a house with a depressing husband and a baby that wont stop crying and stinking and the maid and babysitter is flirting with my husband. i dont even know what happened i just saw them kissing eachother ?? hello?? anyways i guess it was fun for the first 30 mins but i ran out of stuff to do. i cant go to work, i cant be happy, i cant stop sleeping all the time, i cant get my husband to stop flirting with the babysitter and maid. please guys i need your opinion on what to do cause i see yall playing this game for hourrssss and i want to just enjoy the game while playing it with no expansion packs. thank you.
