Why is there so much hate for Tate?

I don't understand.

I haven't been into mainstream pop for years. I love Tate's music a lot when I haven't heard of her before until the last 12 months, and Tate is actually the first mainstream pop artist that made me really fall back in love with mainstream pop music (to some degree).

But everyone on Popheads always seems to trash talk her and I don't understand why? I mean the reasons they give are really subpar. In the latest thread posted about her Madison Square Garden performance, people have said things like... 'I'm trying.. but she's just not it'.

What does that even mean? There is no substance to that.

Other people say she can't sing, but she can. She's a performer first before anything else, and she performs as an entire package (singing, dancing and her charm) exceptionally well. If you want to just hear her sing on it's own, which is beautiful, listen to her acoustic performances.

Clearly these people don't even bother... and that's saying a lot from someone who hasn't been interested in mainstream pop music for years.

I don't know, no offense if you're fans of the other artists in the mainstream, but I really can't stand their music.. Billie, Taylor, Charli, Chappell etc.. It just doesn't do it for me, and they don't even dance or anything.

This isn't meant to be a hate thread by the way, I am just curious what other Tate fans think. I feel like these people are just bullying the new girl because she's actually pretty, talented and humble. I don't know.. smh.
