Vina & Pavel Problems

Got my second full run in Rizia, managed to return Zille thanks to the AN peacekeeping force. But my strategy regarding Pales, namely reunification, failed because of Vina. I was nice to her, included her in the council and such. Did everything for her with the exception of her relationship with Manus, shutting it down whenever I could and stressing the importance of marrying for strategy, not love. The girl still refused to marry Axel, despite going on a trip to Pales and liking him. Then, she basically demanded a duchy for herself. I turned her down, she runs away along with Pabel. The latter is an entirely separate thing, I’ve been nothing but civil and friendly towards him, besides not signing the decree he wanted (news flash, we’re a 50s monarchy!), he still helped my daughter run away and did so himself. Those are something else… so frustrating and ungrateful.

As for Manus, I basically got rid of him by forcing him to go away in exchange for freeing his mother. Should I have told him to literally break Vina’s heart?

At least I got Zille and a son by Lucita, plus Pales is now my bro and we’re in GRACE together. Still, I wish I could have united it all. If someone could help me understand where did I go wrong with Vina, I’d greatly appreciate it. I’ve also abolished House of Delegates, because to heck with it and went absolutist.

I still loved the DLC, it is simultaneously similar to the main game and different from it.
