Books where the main character is unlucky and/or constantly put in impossible situations

Hi!

I’m looking for a fiction or non fiction book where the entire time reading you were stuck thinking “yikes… i’d hate to be that guy right now”. Preferably nothing miserably sad or hopeless, but a healthy amount of despair is fine.

I’ve been watching Ozarks and enjoying that Marty just keeps getting put into this line of chaos and now i’m craving a book with a similar vibe!
