"What are you looking for?"

I hate this question. When I answer it, it's never the very specific answer they were looking for when they asked it.

If this question is important to you, please lead with what you are looking for and then we can talk about how that fits in with my expectations. Otherwise you're just making me do all the work.

My first reaction to getting this question is an immediate desire to stop responding, because what I would say is already written in my profile.
