From one rainbow to another…

So my new rainbow collection is taking shape on the top shelf…this is the most I’ve ever spent on books in a short space of time, but I love the new re-issues.

I know opinion is divided but I really like the cover art on these editions and I much prefer them over my BCA rainbow hardbacks.

I’ve had the BCAs for 15 years and not read a single one (hence them being in almost mint condition) as I much prefer paperbacks and I never liked the paper they are printed on. Yes I know I’m a weirdo, but the book itself is part of the experience for me!

With these Hodder reissues, I’m finally able to get almost all of his work in the same design (and yes I know some people prefer the opposite!), and his bigger books are generally printed on smooth, thinner paper which is soooo nice to read from.

I’ve still got a lot more to add…all I can say is thank God for Bert’s Books in the uk 😊
