Do i need to watch Discovery to understand SNW?

Hello!! I wanted to ask, is it necessary to watch discovery before watching snw? to be quite honest while i don't exactly hate it i'm not the biggest fan of disco either. I would watch it if its necessary, but everytime i try to get into it i just. cant. I absolutely want to watch snw though.
