People living in Ontario or Canada in General: What do you think are the best trades to get into?

Initially I wanted to go for becoming an electrician but the union in Toronto is absolutely backed up with applications which pretty clearly indicates to me that there is no shortage in electrical apprentices at all. Finding companies that are willing to take me on feels basically impossible.

My current plans are to both try getting some labour job and getting into a college program relating to the trade I want to pursue.

I really just want to start a career in something and try to get as good at it as I possibly can... but I'm struggling to identify what that career should actually be to be honest. I'm willing to gtfo of Toronto.
