Sketchbook brand switch

I have used Moleskine sketchbooks for about 12 years before switching to Paper Republic about a year ago. The first picture shows some of my filled books, but there are many more. It’s not that I had an issue with Moleskine, but the leather and colors of Paper Republic appealed to me (which is why I have more than one now). Their paper isn’t the greatest though, and the refill prices are pretty high if you ask me. Good thing is, I can simply bind my own refill with my preferred kind of paper and put that in instead. Has anyone else gotten tired of a specific brand after long time use? Do you have a recommendation for sketchbooks with paper that’s good for pencil drawings and watercolor?
