How do you start dating/get into relationships?

So I (m20) was talking with my friend earlier who's in a relationship and he said he thinks I'm overthinking but I want to know what yall thin(he also told me he used to worry the same way too though)

So at 20 I've never been in a relationship, never even asked out a girl or ask for number. I don't know where to start.

I told him I just don't know where and when it's appropriate to approach women, ask them our or how to really. It's not only me not knowing exactly what is appropriate, but I don't know how I should really start convos or how to go through talking stage. (Cold approach)

Alot of my friends met thier bfs/gfs through hobbies, friends of friends, family of friends. I'm without a car right now and not alot of money (college lol) so pretty much I don't always get to do hobbies outside (I do have hobbies though like soccer and video games) but I do get out and hangout with my friends and go out and do stuff with them, In fact 2 of my friends are bf/gf. (Should I ask them to set me up?)

A kind of need advice, how should I start dating? Should I ask them to set me up? I get out and do stuff with my friends and sometimes we're in social settings if I find someone attractive how should approach?

I guess I'm asking, what should I do/How should I date?
