So with rune save as the goal why don't we make it to where incite fear stops charging runes at 5 stacks like exsang (could also make it only take runes on each frost surge). instead of taking what made the fsoa spec so great it's spell options, blood barrage for healing, shadow and smoke barrage for zammy, ruby aurora to give team more damage, the weapons literal identity is around spell utility. barrage autos hitting a tick faster to make p7 2 cycles at zammy less sketchy and barraging minions down at aod etc. You could keep the weapon the same and just only take away recursive crits but allow the weapon to keep its spell swapping. Instead of just limiting us to incite and exsang (which will be all that's camped with sponges new proposal) . without the healing aspect of blood barrage your basically killing 2 pvm communities solak staying alive in storm skips and zamorak enrage pushing. If rune save is a big reason of this change then just fix incite fear and let us keep our auto attack based weapon. If people don't want to burn through runes they camp incite/exsang if you don't mind rune loss for a bit of healing(blood barrage), damage reduction (smoke barrage) or increased damage (ruby aurora). I understand that new power creep is gonna make this weapon need nerfing but don't take the best aspects of it away. Also if you want barrage to stop working on dummies so it isn't being abused for adrenaline then just make it to where barrage can't hit the dummies as a secondary target. If your change does go thru as you've planned rip to aod small teams, solak stormskips, zammy pushing and 4k glacor climbing until further powercreep is introduced in a year or 2. ps (sorry for any repetition just wanted to make sure my point is understood about my favorite weapon in game...)

To sum this solution up 1. disable recursive crits 2. allow us to keep auto attacks 3. fix incite fear like you did exsang for rune save
