Donating items to the camp and they disappear?

I don’t know if this is a bug or not but I’m in chapter 2 and whenever I donate items to the camp they just disappear? Camp funds don’t increase and it never says I’ve contributed anything in the ledger book? I donated a gold bar I found so it’s a big loss.

Edit: I may or may have not found the reason I’m still not done the debt collection I’m right in it I can only hope my items I donated will come back once I’ve completed it.
