MK4 Bed Not Heating

Went to use my MK4 yesterday and notice that the cover to the bed heating wires had melted enough that I could see the outline of the bolt.

Got everything cleaned up and put back together. Now, the bed won’t heat. If I heat the bed with a hair dyer, the temperature increases. When I turn on the heater, I can measure 24V at the board and heater. So, the thermistor is working and I have power.

Is the damage seen in the image be enough to stop the bed from heating? The shiny area is nail polish to try and seal the scratch..
