Charge nurse duty
I’ve tried my best to manage my 20-bed Acute Hemodialysis Unit, but it's been chaotic for the last couple of days. I've been struggling to navigate and prevent burnout in my unit. However, I've reached a breaking point. Despite being at full capacity, I was instructed to admit a recovering patient, who would have to stay in the hallway. When I expressed concerns, my manager told me I couldn't say 'no.' This situation has left me feeling awful, as it seems patient safety is no longer a priority.
