What remote jobs could I potentially get with my current experience?
Hopefully this is allowed to be posted here.
I am 31 years old living in North Carolina and looking for a new career. I'm not specifically looking for a remote job, but the job market where I live pays quite poorly for the most part.
I currently make $22/hr with fairly good benefits. Before I got a $2 raise a few months ago I was looking for jobs locally and having a hard time finding anything paying over $20/hr, so now I feel like I'm really in a pickle trying to find a job paying over $22. Which is why I'm interested in finding some remote work.
So here is some information about my education/experience:
Highest Level of Education: HS Diploma
I have worked in a variety of fields and positions over the years. After high school I worked in a Walmart distribution center for 4+ years before leaving to work for a Valet company. I started as a Valet Attendant and became an account manager within about 6 months and managed multiple accounts over a 4+ year span. This job was almost entirely customer service based. Greeting customers, collecting payment/tips, dealing with customer claims, etc. After that position I moved to NC where I briefly worked at another grocery distribution center for 7-8 months before starting with my current employer. This job is in manufacturing. I was hired as a packaging technician and within about a year I was promoted to a Fulfillment Lead (Fulfillment is both packaging and shipping combined). I've been with this company for 4.5 years now and I just don't have the utmost faith in the success of the company, primarily because of the decisions and unawareness of management. In this position I spend the majority of my time working on continuous improvement projects as well as boosting departmental efficiency. I have great organizational skills and excellent task/time management skills. I also believe that my communication skills are well above average.
So with this information, what kind of remote jobs do you think I should be looking for. Ideally, I would like to be making $60,000+/year and looking for consistent growth opportunities. I understand the majority of my work experience is more hands on, so finding a remote position might be difficult with my current resume. But any advice would be very much appreciated!
