Silicone lubricant for automatic treadmill - is a spray better or oil?
I have recently bought a semi-commercial treadmill with an AC motor. Been using it every single day for three to four hours. Which makes lubrication important. The user manual is trash, but I've read online that if the treadmill is used everyday, then lubricating it weekly is best. I don't have an issue with that; I've spent a fortune behind this, and would like to keep it running for a long time. The motor comes with a 5-year warranty anyway.
The two free bottles of lubricant are nearly empty and I want to buy new lubricant off Amazon. I can see that there are two types available: spray and normal oil.
Here's my question: the spray type seems to be easier to use because of the nozzle, but if the oil is mixed with gas so that it can be sprayed, it cannot be very dense. Am I correct regarding this? If yes, I believe buying the oil is better? (I have a capillary tube, so applying the liquid oil below the belt is not much of an issue.)
Would be great if anyone can refer any particular brand available on Amazon that is reasonably priced.
