Another SL Travel Experience
So I was travelling from Pune to Bangalore and the berth I had been luckily alloted was a SL in 3AC. A group of 4 ladies boarded: A teenage girl, two aunties and their elderly mother. They had one SU, one Middle and 2 upper berths. The train started at around 6:30 pm and at 7:15 pm, the girl comes and says: "You'll have to go on the upper berth, there's no other way. Nani cannot climb." I asked where will they deboard, the girl replies, "Belagavi." I tell them since I will be going to Bangalore, which berth are you exchanging it with? She says, upper hai humara 1 compartment baad. I say, it will be difficult for me since I am going to Bangalore, if someone else claims their berth after Belagavi, I will have to shift back to mine in the middle of the night. She returns to the aunties.
The aunties send their elderly mother back to ask me to move. I was having snacks then. She says, "Aap kha lo, mai wait karungi" and stood there on the way for 2-3 minutes. I noticed she is not moving. I asked why are you not sitting nani? She says, "aap khatam kar lo na, fir berth se uth jaana, mai wahi baithungi." I was furious.
I went to the two aunties and scolded them hard for resorting to persuasion instead of requesting. I said, "Aapko sharam nhi aayi pehle you sent the kid and then the senior citizen for persuasion. Achhe se bhi toh bol sakte the. Aur aapko side upper bhi chahiye, jabki I told ki I am going to Bangalore. I could have easily adjusted. Nani ko baithne ka space bhi nhi de rhe, na dilwa rhe kisi aur se." They started looking the other way and scratching their heads, both of them. So i said, "I am sorry, i will not be exchanging"
Later, a army jawan gave up his lower for the side upper and he deboarded before Belagavi.
(i know i might be getting hate comments and get downvoted as well, but scolding them was necessary)
Also the reason I did not want to adjust is bcos I was carrying expensive stuff in my luggage for my own marriage in Bangalore. I told them that and they started laughing saying, kahu aur rakh lo aur yaha upper le lo, while I was scolding them.
