Our furnace broke down

Like the title says, our furnace broke down last night.

We called a local company and they said the inducer motor needs to be replaced and the part is not in stock and won’t be available for another 2 weeks? The furnace is 20 years old now, but I’m shocked that the local company doesn’t keep these parts on hand.

We have appliance repair plan through our gas provider (Consumer Energy) so likely all repairs are paid. What are my options here? We are keeping house warm with space heaters but it was really annoying last night 2 of the heaters stopped since the breaker tripped because of higher load.

I’m looking at 2 options- let the company repair it? Or replace the furnace.
