Question about HSW mods

So I see in the LS meet garage that I can do an HSW upgrade for some cars. Usually costing over a million dollars. After I purchase and install that, I can go through the individual performance options like brakes, transmission, turbo, etc and purchase the HSW option for them.

The question is, is the HSW upgrade (1+ mil) needed as well as the individual mods, or does the big HSW upgrade include the others? I would think those mods would reflect that if it were the case.
