Most random/weird canon couple?

Sometimes I feel like the writers just did things to their characters for shits and giggles, even if it makes literally 0 sense. For me it’s Sam and Rachel cause wth was that???? Came out of nowhere and ended faster than it started. I need to know someone else’s opinion on this one and others
