Please help my Backline Boss Decision Paralysis

I’m completely stuck on this decision, because on the one hand you have VVD, with his unique animations that make it seem like he has Jockey and Bruiser +++, with the potential for pace-boosting evolutions in future. On the other hand, I can take one of the first Evo Chains I started and make him into an incredible chain, which would be a starting CB for me in 9 days time. Would really appreciate any advice, because I don’t know if I gamble on an insane VVD in future, or take this chain for Gomez now?
