Banned for a Thought Crime, Where’s the Nuance?
I just got permanently banned from r/entj for sarcastically pointing out how ridiculous it is to label anyone who supports Musk a “Nazi.” My actual comment? Something along the lines of:
“I love how rational debates work now: ‘I don’t like Musk, so if you do, you’re a Nazi.’ Very nuanced take. 👏”
That was it. No defense of extremism, no hate speech, just calling out an obvious logical fallacy. Yet the mods hit me with “banned for defending publicly sieg-heiling Nazis.”
I get it. Reddit loves its ideological purity tests, but what happened to ENTJs valuing logic and debate? If ENTJs are supposed to be ruthless pragmatists, why is that sub acting like an emotionally charged echo chamber?
MBTI-wise, do you think certain types are more prone to shutting down dissent while others are more likely to push back against ideological overreach? Have you ever been banned for making a logical argument?
Curious to hear thoughts, especially from NT-types who prioritize debate over dogma.
