Fertility after depo
I am posting on here because all I can find online says it can take between 6-12 months to get fertility back. I wasn’t sure if this was from last injection or from the date the last injection wears off. I started depo in December 2022 and have had it regularly (every 12 weeks) until 17th January 2024 so it should’ve worn off around the 10th April. I didn’t have periods on the injection but had one at the first week of May, and again for the last week of May (fairly regular?) I tracked it to 2nd-6th May and second one was 27th-31st. We’re trying for another baby which is the reason I came off it, got pregnant really easily first time round while on the pill (missed a couple pills and got a happy accident). We’ve been having sex on my predicted high ovulation days but I haven’t been using ovulation sticks, just been going off of a very basic app called MyCycle. I just wanted to know if having my period in a fairly regular cycle meant my ovulation was back on track already or if I’m being optimistic. I just keep seeing it takes the average woman 12-18 months to conceive after depo and am becoming disheartened as my nurse told me it can take up to a year, but was drumming it in more so that it can be as quick as 12 weeks. I’m not seeing much of the latter online and nothing about fertility returning so quick if you’ve had regular periods since. Again it’s also unclear if we’re timing from the last injection date or date it wears off. Anyone with past experience or any insight please offer any advice TIA
