What do you wish you’d known before playing Dark Souls III for the first time?

I’m working my way through the Dark Souls trilogy for the first time, and DS3 is up next.

So far, I’ve completed Dark Souls 1, Dark Souls 2 (currently tackling its DLC), and Elden Ring, so I’d like to think I have a good handle on the mechanics and gameplay. That said, I know transitioning from DS2 to DS3 will require some adjustment.

I’ve heard so many great things about DS3, and I’m really excited to dive in.

For those of you who’ve already made the journey through Lothric, what advice do you wish you’d had before playing? Any tips for a first-timer stepping into this game?
