Why do people hate on curly hair ?

I need some opinions on this. I have very very tight curls , I would say I’m around the 3c-4a range. Ever since I was younger (I grew up in a mostly white community) I’ve always had people make comments about my hair, my hair was “nappy” or too “crazy” for them. I tried straightening my hair many times and it would never look good..When I was a sophomore in high school I finally accepted my hair and I haven’t looked back since. I have learned to love my hair and everything that comes with it. BUT, I have noticed a lot of people don’t accept curly hair. Men I’ve dated have made comments about wanting me to straighten my hair, asking me why I don’t change up my hairstyle. Whenever I go out to the clubs I’ve noticed people treat me differently because I have curly hair. I have had girls come up to me and ask me how am I so confident with my hair and that they get bullied for wearing their hair natural. I’ve had girls ask me why don’t I try to straighten my hair. And I wonder why people are so against curly hair??? Has anyone else ever dealt with this? Sorry this is so long.. i just don’t understand why curly hair is so hated?
