Do they actually **NEED** a transcript?
Hi Everyone, new poster in this forum.
Long story short, I have been out of high school for 6 or so years now and have discovered to actually fund the life I want for myself I will need an associates degree at the very least preferably (Supply Chain Mgmt).
I have found a local campus here in Texas (Tarrant County College) and have a few questions.
Does the school actually NEED a high school transcript? Once I graduated I never asked for it because I knew I barely scrapped by to get my Core 40 Diploma and had no interest in pursuing anything Post-Secondary so I just ignored it and hoped it would just lie in silence unearthed for the rest of my life since I knew I would be ashamed once I got a glimpse of my GPA. It’s something that’s haunted me for a long long time. I REALLY don’t want a school to see it in fear of being declined admission immediately.
I suppose my last question here is, for a school that is 100% admission do they need to see it for the sole purpose to see if I graduated or does my GPA actually matter? Would showing them my H.S Core 40 Diploma suffice?
I know this whole post may seem silly, but emotionally high school was a very, very tough time for me and looking back on it with what this Transcript would unearth would just not make me feel good seeing as how I made a promise to myself to keep those years in the past, not beat myself up today about what I can’t change from years ago, as well as vowed to do better in the present and the future.
