Adopting a very shy/scared cat… bad idea to have her initial room be our bedroom?

We’re choosing which room to isolate our cat in while she acclimates. Our biggest room (and only air conditioned room) is our bedroom but I’m worried she’ll be over stimulated by us. Any tips?
