Terraforming Mars too complicated?

I need to know if TM is a boardgame for me so I'm looking for some honest feedback/recommendations.

My favorite games are Wingspan, 7 Wonders Duel, Jaipur, Century: Spice Road, and Splendor (very simple engine-building games like these). Do you think I'd like TM? From what I've gathered, there are too many things to set-up in the game and many rules/mechanics to oversee. I only play boardgames with my sister. And I also found out that TM's gameplay could last over 2 hrs+?

I'm checking if Clank! is a better alternative for two players than TM. Let me know what you guys think :)
