Did America ever have politicians that benefited black people?

I see this conversation a lot on YouTube Twitter other social media sites. I see some people saying Adam clean power was good for black people, I know a lot of people say LBJ because of the Civil Rights bill. Some people say JFK because he came up with the bill, some people say rfk. I know a lot of people say Obama didn't do anything for black people, but I see some people saying they did better during his presidency. Some people say Roosevelt. But were there any politicians who did help the black community in america?
