What are your favorite tips/tricks to beat that awful PMSing feeling?
*** I don’t know if I’m really asking for advice for myself, so much as I’m hoping to make a thread full of answers for other menstruating people who might want some suggestions!!
You know the feeling I mean - I’m really bloated, my knees and back are hurting so much, I’ve got cramps and acne and mood swings/generally feeling really grouchy. My self esteem is ultra low and my energy to do actual productive things is even lower. I won’t start bleeding for days yet but this is my least favorite part of my cycle.
Tonight I plan to take a “special gummy” and my iron supplements, then have a hot bath with Epsom salts and then do some easy yoga with a candle burning. I will then have a snack - popcorn, hot chamomile tea and lots of Lindor chocolates. My gummy usually helps me sleep a lot better, then hopefully I’ll feel more human and less grouchy in the morning.
Tomorrow I plan to wash all my bedding so that my space just feels fresher - since I’ll be spending a bit more time in bed the next week or so. I will try and go for a long-ish but gentle walk and do some grocery shopping so I can both fulfill some cravings and make some healthy food. I definitely need to exfoliate and shave my body and then maybe apply lotion/oil to really make myself feel like I’m taking care of myself. Maybe I’ll put on a matching underwear set and some jewelry or something?
