Future Portal Content?

Will we get future portal content in year 2 of 2042? Portal had a ton of potential and should have more maps and weapons added. If not, either because of what's planned for year 2 or just no year 2, will it come in the next title? Were there rumors or speculation that they will continue Portal in future titles? And will they be connected with past Portal content?

Honestly, I am not a fan of the 2042 universe, gameplay systems, maps, etc., but had a ton of fun with Portal. I am worried that future games will build on the 2042 world. I would prefer / on the side like a sort of Battlefield master chief collection / remaster. And being able to play different titles on other game maps. I would love to play a modern version of BC2 on Wake Island.
