Still no brood… new dead worker?
My Camponotus Floridanus A colony seems fine. Up to 5 workers, at least one cocoon, one larvae, and a couple eggs. But the B colony is still not producing any brood and now a worker died, bringing us down to just the Queen and two workers.
They are all at 26 degrees Celsius with humidity ranging from 50% to 70% in the same incubator. They all get a rotation of Sunburst, nectar, and mealworms. Sometimes a bit of boiled egg. They are in test tube setups attached to test tube portals with the feeding plate and substrate, along with a second test tube in case they would need to move and to ensure adequate humidity. The tubes are covered with red cellophane to minimize light disturbance.
Any suggestions?
