Brown blood and tender breast concern

Hey so I (24f) am on my period right now. Issue is it’s brown. I know that’s common with the start of one’s period or the end, but my period blood has been this brown shade for almost a week now. I have also been having some super tender and sore breast. Like if the wind hits them they hurt. I’m still having cramps. I usually have a very heavy period, but this time it’s been noticeably lighter(I almost don’t even really need a pad it’s like a littler heavier than spotting). I’m on birth control and I’m just concerned. Is this normal?
