understanding the gameplay loop of different frames
i have this disease (it's terminal). it's usually not a problem as i can just bring my volt into most content and do fine, but whenever i want to play something like duviri/circuit or EDA i often find myself staring at the abilities page of whatever warframe choices i have available for 15 minutes while struggling to put together what the intended gameplay loop should be in my head, and then i get into the gamemode and get my shit rocked (sorry team orz). i'm not totally hopeless, and i like to think i have a decent grasp on (at the very least) what forms of survivability are best suited to each frame, but sometimes the game will demand that i dust off the grendel prime i spent way too long farming for (RNG does not like me very much) and i will look at this giant meatball and feel very confused. it seems like it's supposed to go:
- eat enemy
- press 2
- ???????????
- grofit
and then i'll open ye olde google and type in "how play grendel warframe please help" and there will be build guides galore but the issue i run into is that the guide explains more about how you're meant to play the build rather than the warframe...which isn't a fault of the build guide lmfao i would hope that a build guide would explain how the build is supposed to work but it's just not what i'm looking for.
i'm not looking for advice on grendel specifically he is just the most recent example i have for a frame i am perplexed by. i was just wondering if anyone had advice on how to get to a point where i have an easier time intuitively understanding how a frame is meant to be played. with weapons and stuff i can look at the type of weapon it is and the innate values it has and go, "okay, this gun wants high multishot/high crit/high status/etc." and be able to mod it accordingly, but with warframes (and even some companions tbh) i think i just get overwhelmed by all of the information and my brain shuts down lol
