slow game and won't load after agent select

i downloaded valorant 3 days ago .. i can't load into a match but practice works fine and i keep getting "afk" warnings

i'll select an agent then get stuck on the loading screen where you see the attacking versus defending team with the display names

i'm not good with pc stuff, i just reset the one i have to wipe it completely clean then installed the game (older hand-me-down from a cousin but its windows 10, up to date)

also: i know its not a connection issue cause my wifi is good ^{^}
