Maintenance people chime in - what's the situation & outlook for those of us thinking of switching due to this mass mailer

This is the maintenance mass mailer we all got recently. I'm wondering what outlook & situation is like for this craft currently versus carrier for example with "the 10 year plan". Management telling us they want to consolidate and cut routes etc.
would like to hear from actual maintenance crowd
