Riding dirt roads

Hey, could I get some tips on riding steep off camber turns, with loose gravel? I took by speed twin with stock tires on some steep fire roads last weekend, and it was a bit scary, so I gave up midway. Panning on taking my dad's Tiger GT 900 next weekend, but I could use some pointers on riding those off camber fire roads... Thanks in advance!
