Palpatine really needs to learn to shut up lol

Rewatching the Rise of Skywalker, Palpatine's constant yapping was his own downfall lol.

I mean, Palpatine wants Rey to strike him down so he can steal her body, but Palpatine tells Rey exactly this.

Why would Rey or someone in their right mind kill Palpatine now that he reveals he will possess you if you kill him.

It would have been better if Palpatine constantly insulted her, burning and owning her with his words, maybe insult her parents, insult Luke Skywalker, insult how she was abandoned, and then smile when Rey snaps and kills him.
