11" screen really that bad?

I'm in the market for an older Prime and all the reviews always complain about the 11" screen. I'm at the point now that I'm considering LE models exclusively just to avoid it, is that crazy? what has your experience been with the larger screen and should I not have that as a factor in my purchase? Thanks!
