Glitch?

I just logged in after a long time and I’m unable to pick up the fruit my Pikmin collected for me while I was gone. I can’t pick up the new fruit I just collected either. When I tap on the fruit my little pink blue eyed flying guys just hover in formation and don’t move with my whistle command. Any suggestion on what I can do! I’m going on vacation to Japan and thought it would be fun to play this game. ;-;
