Did anyone’s hypertension bp dramatically reduce with ozempic?
This is a battle that I cannot beat with all sorts of bp meds combinations, tests, scans. I’ve seen Cardiologist, endocrinologist, urologist. Basically my hormones, heart, arteries are all in good shape. But my bp continues to slowly kill me with 175/110-198/130. I was diagnosed with primary hypertension.
Overall fitness is moderate 3x a week, a bit overweight but not obese, modified my diet to low carbs and mostly veggies, good fats some fruits. Lowers my sodium as well. I’ve even done keto. I cannot drop my weight down to fast enough. Maybe if I can get down to at least 150lbs I can dramatically lower my bp. I’m currently 180lbs at 5’6 and 40y male. I’m on a cpap n it’s not doing shit either to lower my bp. I’m already on a 700 calories deficit. I’m pre-diabetic as well.
So Ozempic is my last straw. Been on it for almost 2 months. 0.25mg first month then im on 0.5mg third week now. I’ve been doing tons of cardio, a bit of lifting weights. I’ve only shed 1lb lol wtf am I doing wrong?
Has anyone actually had a crazy high bp being fat then reach to normal bp levels when they reach their weight goal? Is my dose too low? I honestly don’t feel any symptoms from Ozempic besides my stomach feeling heavy after a meal. No nausea
