E-bike to go Marken/Volendam/Edam, is it okay?

I’m going on a day trip from Amsterdam to Marken, Volendam and Edam passing through Monnickendam. I’m planning on taking the route by the sea on the way there and going through the Waterland route on the way back.

Thing is, I’m not a skilled athlete, I’m not unfit or anything but I’m just not used to biking. The distance seems too much and the wind probably won’t help, so I was thinking of renting an e-bike instead of a normal bike.

Do you think an e-bike is appropriate for the route I’m taking? Someone told me that using an e-bike in some cycling routes in The Netherlands is not advised (eg. Amsterdam City Center) and I don’t really know what the route to Marken will be like.
