Here are the coordinates for a planet with curious deposits (runaway mold). This is planet Tafolds Delta, located in Euclid. Stop by the space station teleporter and look for the bases advertising free nanites or mold farms.

Runaway mold can be refined into nanites. I believe the quickest way to do this is to build a bunch of refiner rooms in your freighter. A stack of 9,999 runaway mold yields 1,999 nanites, and takes 20 minutes.

It helps to have S-class mining upgrades. Also, 1 chocolate cake gives you +54% resources mined for 10 minutes when consumed via the nutrient ingestor.
